We Attended Iller Bank's FRIT-II Training.

Iller Bank as the main borrower and implementing agency organized an training program in Antalya in 5-8 October 2023 within the framework of FRIT-II (Facilitiy for Refugees in Turkey-II ) financed by the World Bank and the European Union within the scope of the Municipal Services Improvement Project in order to improve safe water supply, sanitation and solid waste services in selected municipalities affected by the influx of Syrians under temporary protection. The participants were from Project municipalities, water-sewerage administrations and consultants. Our Project Manager of Adana Kozan-İmamoğlu-Yedigöze Drinking Water Project, Mr Hakan Bezirci on behalf of ALTER attended also the training program.

Within the training, Ilbank's project management setup, how the applications are carried out, the obligations of the municipalities, and the role of the Consultant were explained. Emphasis was given on World Bank Environmental and Social Standards and Specifications and Occupational Health and Safety issues.

At the end of the program, ALTER’s representative and the other Consultants made a presentation and shared their observations, practices and suggestions in their own projects.
