Kiraz Suludere Underground Dam which is one of Turkey's first underground dams, will be constructed on Çatak Creek which is located in approximately 0.7km north of Suludere town- Kiraz district, number 6 in Kucuk Menderes Basin in Central Aegean Area.
Within the scope of the project, a slurry-trench curtain with a minimum of 4.65 m, a maximum of 23.45 m depth and a total of 200 m axle length on 95 anode was produced, and groundwater storage and 4 pumping wells to be opened in alluvial water pressure by means of pump and regulation Irrigation water will be provided by taking it into the closed pipe system.
The average annual precipitation in the project area is 546.2 mm, the precipitation area is 24.7 km² based on the axial location and the total surface runoff potential is 0.914 hm³ / year. The total water volume that can be stored in alluvium at the axle location is calculated as 55.080 m³. Accordingly, 41 ha of gross and 37.2 ha of net irrigation area will be watered. In this case, a contribution of 873.985 TL / year will be made to the national agricultural income figures with respect to 2019 unit prices.
The total investment cost of the project is calculated as 10.613.344 TL based on DSI prices for 2020 and the profitability ratio is calculated as R = 1.30.
