Rural Development
A new report by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) states that 35 countries do not have sufficient access to food and 24 of these countries are in Africa.
Improving the living conditions of rural areas contributes to the demographic, social and economic development of cities. Therefore, a sustainable rural development is an integral part of strategic urban development planning. Development needs resources but resources are limited, therefore effective resource management is essential. Effective resource management requires sophisticated knowledge. Therefore we provide integrated planning, engineering and management services; working with highly specialized experts in sociology, economics, agriculture, development planning, soil and water sciences and engineering.
Areas we serve in Rural Development:
For the implementation of rural development projects, we support government agencies, rural communities and funders in assessing the capabilities of rural organizations and rural communities. Beyond that, we support communities and organizations with in-service and field trainings for capacity gain and human resources development.
